Bring Social Studies Alive in YOUR classroom!
Serving San Francisco and Bay Area classrooms.
Serving San Francisco and nearby Bay Area, the School Program offers workshops based on ancient history and contemporary
indigenous life, customs, rituals, and traditional folk crafts and arts.
Designed to integrate the arts with cultural studies and social sciences
taught in Kindergarten-8th grades, this 23 year old program brings
slide shows, artifacts, and hands-on art activities directly to local
classrooms. Students
are treated to culturally diverse views of life, everyday activities,
rituals, meals, marketplaces, families, schools, celebrations, and more.

Each art activity immerses young people in success-oriented art experiences,
using accessible materials, and builds basic skills using hands and minds
together, naturally integrating critical thinking and problem solving.
The School Program is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant, an Exemplary Arts Program award, and serves over 8,000 students annually.
