Julie Brookman is an artist who bridges fine art photography with the craft of glass blowing. Brookman's most recent body of work focuses on transforming the quotidian plastic shopping bag into an exceptionally crafted object. This suggestion of movement and irregularity is an integral part of Julie's process in forming her glass bag vessels.

After completing a BA in Fine Art at San Francisco State University, Brookman lived in Borneo for several years. Brookman's process of creating these objects incorporates the aesthetic’s of Wabi Sabi through her loose, dented forms.
