Red Poppies
by Katy Kristin Bowen

$36

Beautiful red poppies are a classic addition to any ensemble.

You can double it up and pull the loose ends through to make a short necklace, tie it once for a long look, wrap it around and tie the ends, even wear it as a bracelet!

Made from hand-cut wool felt, glass beads, and suede cord. Finished reverse sides, 42" from end to end. Made in the USA. Because each one is handmade, please allow for slight variations.

Katy Kristin lives at the coast near San Francisco, and her hero is Pippi Longstocking.

Katy has a degree in Fine Arts from UCLA. She made clay characters for Mr. Bill shows (from Saturday Night Live) and for Mad TV claymations (Furious George, CLOPS). She also edited some documentaries (New Orleans: A Natural History and The Battle of New Orleans). Then she made more clay characters for some Public Service Announcements about hurricane evacuation and wetlands restoration for the Gulf Coast region. She helped make stuff for attractions at Sea World and Universal Studios, and she did sign art for her local Trader Joe's, too.

Even though she collects too much stuff for her own good, she is inspired to create more things: whimsical dolls and plushies, art, jewelry, clothes and more. Some day Katy hopes to live in a treehouse, a BIG treehouse.
