Irena Kudlicki comes from an artistic family. Fashion, art, and design have been a big part of her life; her sister Alina has always been involved in fashion, her mother is an art teacher, and Irena went to design school where she majored in interior design. Her interest in jewelry design began when her sister Alina expressed a need for custom jewelry for her most discerning clients at her shop alina b. Irena, intrigued, rose to the challenge and mastered the jewelry craft. Orders followed soon and this led to a full fledged business. Since then she has been seeking new challenges and increased artistic growth.

She visits Europe for several months each year in search of inspiration and new materials for her designs. It was there that she discovered Striped Flint. Mesmerized by the primal beauty, she chose to name her line after this magical stone. In addition to flint, she works with a variety of materials: minerals, precious and semi-precious stones, sterling silver, 14 karat gold and leather. Irena loves a challenge and is always looking for the next big thing. Most of her pieces are definitely one of a kind!
